Gas Safety & Compliance for rental properties

As of March 2021, new legislation takes effect that hold landlords and rental agents responsible for ensuring that their properties comply with the new safety requirements.

They must ensure that a gas safety check of the premises is conducted every two years by a Registered Gasfitter.

A compliance report must be made available to the tenant upon a change of tenancy or within 7 days of their request demonstrating that the property is compliant with the new laws.
